Motion

John Masters

I can appreciate sharp well focused photographs. A photograph that is in focus and sharp corner to corner appeals to me. Often, I find myself wishing I could do that, every time I pull the shutter. At least if I could accomplish sharpness in focus when I want to that would even be great. Apparently, the camera gods though have not allowed me to have that skill. Over time I have come to embrace the less focused images. The idea of motion seems to be the norm for me. The only solace I can take from this reality is when I think back of photographs I have seen even as a little boy it is the blurry out of focus out of frame, heads cut off less than ideal posing photos are the ones that stick in my mind. I guess that is ok with me and I will just have to keep working on my focus.
