Last year a friend of mine had a band called Phase Zero. Even though the band was short lived they seemed to be enjoying themselves doing what they do best. We were only able to catch two of their shows, but during one I actually thought to bring my camera along. It was one of those small venues and rather magical for me because I was able to move freely about and behind the stage with my camera. The lighting was enough to allow for some decent shots. These were are a few of my favorites…

Corners

Life would be easy if you could see what was coming around corners. Some would argue (including myself) life would be somewhat predictable and boring if you had this amazing power of long sight. Long sight and corner vision, the power to see around every corner, no unpredictability, no surprise, just living day to day adjusting your direction for perfect outcomes every time. Sure in hindsight especially when things don’t go quite so well you might say to yourself “boy I wish I would have seen that coming, I would have done something different”. But would you really have done something different? And if you could change your direction based on your awesome ability to see what was coming, would you really want to? Sure, yes even now I am thinking back to times when I would have wanted a do-over. But really… what fun is that?

Smoke Run

I am feeling like a little Paris today so I thought I would post one of my older ones. My muse and I were enjoying a cafe’ creme at the bistro when this chick pulls up on an enduro, high heals, purse and hair. She was on a mission to go get a pack of smokes at the tobac shop next door. All business she dismounts walks in walks out with tobacco – lights a smoke and gets back on her bike and took off. Her high heels, purse nor her hair were affected by these activities as she rode that bike like she was born with one.
